President Hakainde Hichilema has arrived in Solwezi District

President Hakainde Hichilema has arrived in Solwezi District, North-Western Province, to officiate at the commissioning of the S3 Mining Project Expansion at Kansanshi Mine. Solwezi District came to a standstill as President Hakainde Hichilema drove through the town on his way to commission the First Quantum Minerals Limited S3 project.

Multitudes of residents gathered along the road to catch a glimpse of the Head of State as he greeted the crowds.

President Hichilema has returned to Lusaka after launching the over $1.2 billion S3 expansion project at Kansanshi Mining PLC, which will extend the mine’s lifespan by twenty-five years.
